Many thanks to Chamillonaire for the lyric inspo, and an even bigger thanks to Rollplay, the creators of my sweet swagalicious ride 💯.

The 12V-Up Rider is a battery-operated, easy-to maneuver segway designed especially for kids. To drive, all kids have to do is push the button underneath the handlebars and they’re off—at slow, safe, secure speeds.

Kids can steer this bad boy by simply tilting the handlebars left and right and brake by releasing the drive button. It has a weight capacity of 130 pounds so small adults (read: my grandmother and I) can also take a spin on it. It comes equipped with a 6-Volt battery with a charger, so kids can plug it in, charge it, and roll.

Now folks, riding a segway is a different experience. The 12V-Up Rider—as with riding a bike, a horse, or a pogo stick for the first time,—takes a while to get used to. But once you get to know your segway, you’ll learn to trust it and you’ll feel secure.

Brace yourself, because the 12V-Up Rider is not a speed demon, with a max speed of 4 mph. This ride-on is best suited for gliding, slow cruising, and sight seeing around your neighborhood. I personally think it would be a great prop for a music video about swag or whatever rappers talk about these days. I do recommend kids wear a helmet, however, just in case their swag gets the best of them and they lose balance. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I also recommend that kids are supervised when riding. The 12V-Up rider is heavy and should not be lifted by children (or grandma). Unlike a bike, it can’t easily be wheeled around and lifting may be required to transport it to new locations.

What’s cool about this segway is it can be used indoors on hard surfaces. Toy Insider HQ has cement floors, which is where I rode it, and it worked perfectly. It can also be used outside, but remember to store it inside as it is a battery-operated device that could get wet in the rain.

It’s fun, it’s different, but most importantly, it’s safe for kids. It’s a new type of riding experience that kids can’t get from other ride-ons. Think of bumper cars. We ride bumper cars for the fun of it, not for practicality. The 12V-Up Rider is designed for play, rather than transportation, but riding one is an experience.

Skeet skeet…I GTG. I have a mixtape to record about my sweet ride 👋.
