Goal: $50,000
Funding Period: Until March 18
Creator: Amy Holden

Not everyone has the opportunity to travel to space, but now anyone can have their own pet who has.

The mission is to launch a payload full of 13.8 million Aqua Dragons into the stratosphere, record 360-degree video of the flight, and then package these well-traveled eggs into new Aqua Dragon kits. Kids can follow along with the trip to space through an app or online.

The kits will include eggs, food, a tank, and other accessories for kids to grow their own aquatic pets. The Aqua Dragons (brine shrimp) come in the eggs and can be woken up from their state of hibernation so kids can watch them hatch and grow as they swim, eat, and reproduce.

Kickstarter donations range from $5 to $5,000 and prizes include Aqua Dragons Live Astro Pet kits with the space eggs, the opportunity to send a personal belonging into space, or meet an astronaut.
