Have you ever wanted to own a little piece of your favorite DreamWorks character, like Po from Kung Fu Panda or Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon?

Now kids ages 4 and up can with the help of AR Discs! The company has partnered with Universal Studios to release physical, collectible disc sets embedded with augmented reality (AR) technology. The discs are compatible with the AR Discs app.

AR Discs bridges the gap between virtual and physical play with its range of collectible AR chips, now featuring DreamWorks characters. Each pack of discs contains blind bags with character chips stored inside. Kids can then hover over the chip with a compatible smartphone or tablet device via the free AR Discs app (available on the App Store and Google Play). Kids can then watch movie clips featuring their respective character, read insights about the character, and play with 3D AR images of the character.

The AR Discs starter pack includes a collector’s folder to hold the chips, along with a pack of two collectible discs. The AR Discs also come in packs of three, with each bag holding individual chips. The starter pack costs $9.99 and the three-pack costs $7.99. Both sets are available to purchase at Amazon.
