Giddy up girl! Barbie just got a new horse and it’s pretty dreamy.

Barbie DreamHorse, from Mattel, provides kids with their own a ranch-style Barbie as well as an animated, interactive, walking, and dancing (!!!) horse. While Barbie remains a still life figure, DreamHorse is full of life!

DreamHorse looks like a typical horse at first sight. She’s a white stallion with a luscious curly mane (it’s shinier than Barbie’s mane TBH), and is equipped with a pink saddle and reins. Lay this beaut on her back and you’ll find her power switch. Now watch her whip around your living room floor and neigh neigh. YASSS DreamHorse—you are a superstar.

DreamHorse features more than 30 realistic reactions. She can walk forward, turn in a circle, neigh, and also pretend to eat the carrots included. Kids can groom her mane with the included brush, if they spot any fly aways. DreamHorse is also touch activated. Kids can tap her on her right side to get her to walk clockwise and her left side to have her walk counterclockwise. Tap DreamHorse in the center and she walks straight—and she’ll trot. And if you’re looking to get cutesy, touch her on the left or right side of her chest and she’ll nuzzle. AWW.

Besides having touch activation features, she also reacts to sound. If you make any type of sound, she’ll follow it. You can also ask her yes or no questions and she’ll nod or shake her head in response. Hit the button behind her saddle, and it will activate her dance mode. She plays three different songs and dances along with them. She is definitely the dancing queen of the barn—DreamHorse got moves and hooves!

To keep Barbie secure, there is a waist clip built into the DreamHorse’s saddle.  Barbie even comes with a helmet, because Barbie knows best and safety is ALWAYS worth messing up your hair. Make sure to really strap Barbie in. DreamHorse is kind of a wild (but good-hearted) one.

At any time, if DreamHorse gets a little out of hand, press her forehead and she’ll stop. Settle down, girl. Inside the instruction booklet, there is a page that acts almost as birth certificate, where kids can give DreamHorse a name.

Love DreamHorse? Love Barbie? There’s more of where that came from! Stop horsing around and checkout our other Barbie toys we’ve reviewed.
