Singer Christina Perri is turning one of her most iconic songs into a book for young kids.
Perri is known for her iconic songs, including “Jar of Hearts” and “Human,” but her biggest song is “A Thousand Years,” which was featured in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack.
“A Thousand Years” is all about everlasting love, and there is no love quite like the love of a mother for her kid. In the new book, Perri reimagines the song through the lens of a mother’s bond with her kid, featuring important moments like their first meeting, the first day of school, and more. Throughout the story, A Thousand Years shows that this love evolves, strengthens, and grows over time. The book is illustrated by Joy Hwang Ruiz, who also illustrated kids’ books Sometimes Love and Every Little Letter.
A Thousand Years will be available starting April 1. Until then, parents can play the song for kids on repeat to prepare them!
