Get ready for a world of colorful, scientific wonder.

The Crayola Chemistry Super Lab Set includes up to 50 STEAM-based experiments that kids can do at home to learn all about the science of color. (I was far from a science-wiz in high school, but I always loved those color units.) The science kit features easy-to-follow instructions for 50 experiments, all of which are simple for even the youngest of scientists. The instructions are also well illustrated for early readers. Right out of the box, the kit has enough Crayola materials and supplies to do 15 colorful experiments.

The activities let kids make cool things like an erupting volcano, glow-in-the-dark worms, sticky slime, a colorful carousel, a bottled tornado, colorful quicksand, and more. Each of the experiments was designed with the help of scientists to ensure that they’re all educational, as well as creative and fun for kids.

From there, kids can use their own Crayola products and household items to complete the activities. What’s great about being able to create these experiments from things they find around the house is that kids can get an introduction to how these scientific concepts surround us in our day-to-day lives, and chemistry doesn’t have to be intimidating or scary.

As an added bonus, as you go through the activities, you also learn about the scientific processes (hello, hypothesis!) and how scientists make predictions and then prove them through experimentation.

Of course, we recommend that adults supervise all experimentation so you don’t have any lab mishaps, but everything included in this chemistry set is save for kids to use. Plus, this kind of kit makes for fun family time. A lot of the activities are fun to do together with your kids, and you can make new colorful discoveries together!
