Scribble Scrubbie Pets is Crayola‘s newest activity set that comes with everything kids need to customize their own line of adorable pets, including sweet pooches, cuddly kittens, and charming bunnies. Kids can color fun designs onto these little creatures to make it their own, and then once they want to switch it up, they can simply wash the design off to start a whole new look.
The activity set comes with four adorable pets ready for their makeovers, six special Scribble Scrubbie washable markers, a scrub brush, and a scrub tub. The pets are also collectible, adding more layers of fun. They’re soft and feel like velvet, so they’re perfectly lovable right out of the box.
I’m not going to lie: I was a bit skeptical about how these would come off, but this is one of those “see it to believe it” types of items. The markers easily show up on the pets as bright, bold, and beautiful colors. Once kids are ready to draw something new, it’s time for the pets to get pampered and clean them up in the Scrub Tub. Press the gold button repeatedly to give the pets a shower with water, and eventually, the marker ink will come off. Keep pressing the shower button until the pets are almost back to being pearly white, and then touch it up with the scrub brush to get all the ink completely off, and then dry it off with a paper towel. Don’t press too hard with the markers, otherwise you’ll still see the color faintly, and make sure to clean out the tub water before washing off a new pet.
Want to draw the kitty polka dots? Go for it. Get some ombre-colored fur on the poodle? Do it! Give your little bunny a lightning bolt a la Harry Potter? Get wild! The imagination potential here is limitless!
