In the new year, kids can head out on a Dr. Seuss adventure with Sam-I-Am in the Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike graphic novel!
In this new graphic novel, Sam-I-Am wants to make sure that his bestie Walter sees all the good things out there in the world and decides to take him on a hike. Naturally, Walter has no interest in going on a hike because of the bugs, allergies, and other obstacles. However, when Sam-I-Am has a plan, he’s unstoppable.

Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike was written and illustrated by James Kochalka, who has been making indie comics for more than 40 years. Kochalka was the cartoonist laureate of Vermont from 2011-2013 and has won the Eisner Award twice.
Along with Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike, two other Dr. Seuss books are on the way. Both previously covered by The Toy Insider, Dr. Seuss Babies First Happy Birthday! and Hello, Sun! are sure to be kid favorites.
All three books will be available starting Jan. 7, just in time to refresh kids’ libraries for the new year!
