For more than 60 years, the Grinch has been a staple in the lives of kids across the world during the holiday season. Now, his story is getting an update.
In How The Grinch Lost Christmas, the Christmas season is done and all of the holiday cheer is put away for next year. But what happens next? Does the Grinch remain cheerful, or does he slip back into his grinch-y ways?

How the Grinch Lost Christmas, written by Alastair Heim and illustrated by Aristides Ruiz, marks the first time that Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Random House Childrens’ Books have directly expanded Dr. Seuss canon. Both Heim and Ruiz have previously worked on other Dr. Seuss books, including If I Had Your Vote, If I Ran Your School, and If I Were Saint Nick and the Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library books.
To celebrate the release of the book, the Grinch will be making appearances at bookstores across the country. Kids can get their books stamped by the Grinch and get their photo taken with the green guy.
How the Grinch Lost Christmas is available now for $19.99. This book is a great addition to longstanding Grinch-y holiday traditions!
