When I was growing up, there was pretty much nothing better in the entire world than a weekend sleepover with my besties. It was the perfect mix of hanging out, vegging out with all the junk food, watching movies, and fun activities. Nobody wanted to go to sleep, but everyone would inevitably fall into a deep slumber. Things always seemed like they couldn’t get any better.
But now, in hindsight, I feel as though I was totally robbed. As fun as sleeping bags are, and as much comforts cots can bring, what I really wish I had was an Enchantails slumber bag set. Because let me tell you: Whoever rolls up to a slumber party with a mermaid sleeping bag is hands-down a #slumberpartykween.
Each slumber bag is in the shape of a mermaid’s tail, which makes it the most magical and unique sleeping bag on the market. The attention to detail is impeccable, down to each scale and shimmery piece of thread. The inside material is also incredibly soft, so each sleep will be super comfortable. Everyone can now be the magical mermaid he or she is destined to be.
Every kid that sees it will probably want one in every single color (blue, purple, and orange). Each bag is themed to match a magical mermaid daughter of Oceana, and each character has a sea buddy. (I may be biased to like Lucienne the most because she has a penguin BFF.) Kelani is orange; Lucienne is blue; and Tasi is purple.
When we first got these samples into our office, our senior editor Ali got so excited that the box didn’t last 30 seconds unopened. She and our Toy Insider Mom Laurie Schacht both snuggled up inside a pair of Enchantails on the floor. Then, it was a matter of time before our other editors wanted to get in on the fun (see the Instagram video below). Shout out to Ali, a real-life mermaid.

Do you think it couldn’t get any better? It does. The fabric of the slumber bags even glow in the dark, and science (probably) shows that things are automatically cooler when they glow in the dark.
Each set comes with a pillow (so you don’t have to worry about lugging an additional one around), a carry tote to easily hold everything, and wall decals that feature the matching Royal Mermaid Daughter and her Sea Buddy.
More than just a sleeping bag, the Enchantails create fun opportunities for imaginative play. They can be used outside of when it’s time to go to bed, and kids can role-play to create a world of adventure and creativity.
Each of the slumber bag sets also come with a paperback book of the Enchantails mermaid daughter of the corresponding slumber bag set. Each book is also available for purchase, so kids can own the entire mermaid collection!
