Wondering how you can make sure your kids are safe when they chat on the internet?!

Earlier this week, Facebook announced new safety features to its Messenger Kids chat app. Adults can monitor their kids’ security settings to promote internet safety with a few swift clicks on the parent dashboard.

New settings provide a 30-day backlog of contacts, images, blocked messages, devices logged in and out, and chat history. Parents can request a copy of their kids’ full account profiles, including all contacts and messages. The site also has a new unblocking feature. With it, kids can unblock any previously blocked profiles from their own dashboard. Messenger Kids also updated its privacy policies, which you can read here, to keep kids’ data safe online.

A parent dashboard is accessible by clicking the shortcut menu on the Facebook app, scrolling to the Messenger Kids icon, and selecting the dashboard for each kid’s own account.
