Good news, parents: You can now get your kids the puppy they’ve always begged for. Well, sort of.

Hasbro‘s FurReal Ricky, the Trick-Lovin’ Pup is an interactive pet that kids ages 4 and up will consider their ultimate BFF companion. Their newest pet also includes a bone toy, 18 doggy treats, and a treat pouch. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but lucky for kids, Ricky is brand spanking new. With a little help, Ricky can balance his toy bone on his nose, and then flip it right into his mouth. Kids can also reach for his paw to watch him raise it for a handshake. As young ones interact with Ricky, they can reward his good behavior with treats, just like they would with a real pup. He’ll even shuffle his feet around for more when he’s not satisfied.

One of the best parts about Ricky is his no-mess digestive system! After feeding their playful doggo a treat, Ricky will poop them out when kids pet his back. While it doesn’t directly compare to the real thing, FurReal Ricky will teach kids the importance of handling the less-glamorous duties involved with owning a dog. While Ricky is soft and cuddly on the outside, it’s what’s inside that makes him special. Thanks to sensors inside his cheeks, nose, mouth, paw, and back, Ricky can respond to the touch with more than 100 sound and motion combinations. Little ones can cuddle up to him at night and listen to him bark happily or attack with vicious little doggy licks.

*FurReal Ricky, the Trick-Lovin’ Pup will be available in the fall and will require 4 C batteries.
