G.I. Joe: War On Cobra

Duke is awesome!

D3 Go! and Emerald City Games, along with Hasbro, have pulled back the curtain on G.I. Joe: War on Cobra, an all-new mobile game launching worldwide on Jan. 20.

The game puts a modern spin on characters, vehicles, and locations from the 1980s-era 3.75-inch scale action figure line and animated series. In the game, players choose a side and build out teams that will enter combat by land, sea, and air.

“For us, G.I. Joe is more than just a brand. It’s a shared piece of cultural history that’s near and dear to fans worldwide,” says Brian Etheridge, vice president of publishing at D3 Go!

The new game drops players into the war on Cobra, the “ruthless terrorist organization” that taunted the G.I. Joe team throughout the Reagan years. It’s up to the player to decide where their allegiance lies.

Heroes, such as Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, and Snake Eyes, will battle Cobra enemies, including Destro, the Baroness, Storm Shadow, and Cobra Commander. During the conflict, players will pilot familiar vehicles, such as the Killer W.H.A.L.E., V.A.M.P., Piranha, and Stinger, as they compete against other players in player-versus-player (PvP) battle mode.

The game will be available for download from Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore via the official site.
