Virtual camp is the place to be this summer!

Media and entertainment company GoldieBlox is bringing summer camp fun home with the launch of Curiosity Camp, designed for girls ages 6-12.

Created in collaboration with IF/THEN, the free virtual camp focuses on educational fun with programs meant to inspire young girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

Kids can navigate Curiosity Camp through a virtual map on the GoldieBlox website, which features activities, videos, and surprises rooted in STEAM learning. When campers “hike” around the camp grounds, they will find interactive activities to partake in, such as solving puzzles created by a Fortnite developer, learning how to make their own crocheted microbe from a biomedical engineer, or making a paper mâché composite reflector designed by a Boeing advanced structural design engineer.

The camp also features a video series, designed to inspire girls with real-life role models of women working in STEAM career fields. Campers can join virtual campfire chats to learn more about their guides and fellow campers, asking questions about the guides’ careers in entertainment, fashion, sports, business, and academia.

Campers can also find surprises hidden throughout the virtual campsite. When they stumble upon these Easter eggs, more activities will unlock, such as visiting the Geode Hut to learn about beautiful rock structures, discovering the phases of the moon in the StarGazing Treehouse, and balancing food groups on a lunch tray in the cafeteria.

Curiosity Camp is hosted on the GoldieBlox website and YouTube channel. Visit now to begin the summer fun!
