You know that saying: “Go big or go home”? Well, now you can go big at home.

In an era when toys are getting smaller, some games are getting bigger. Think about Jenga Giant or Flybar’s Oversized Inflatable Skee-Ball. Those are huge versions of classic family games that put a new spin on some old favorites. Now, GoSports is getting in on the action with GIANT versions of a game room staple: darts.

GoSports’ Giant Dart Board comes in 3- or 4-foot versions that turn the tavern classic into an exciting centerpiece for game rooms and garages everywhere. For the purpose of review, I went with the more modest, 3-foot variation and as far as I’m concerned, it’s HUGE.

Admittedly, my knowledge of dart-throwing and scoring is fairly limited and vastly dated to my time as a younger man. Now, I’m inspired to relearn the ways of the dart-throwing Force thanks to this authentic dart board that’s crafted of a real wood backing with a thick corkboard on top of it. It has some heft to it, and it’s impressive.

GoSports recommends that the included mounting hardware be used to mount its Giant Dart Boards using wall studs (preferred) or drywall anchors. Now, you’re gonna need some space, because this should be about 6.5 feet off the ground and players should have around a 12-foot throwing distance.

The tools of the trade here are 12, giant-size darts that have genuine steel tips. Parents use caution: These are real darts, so it’s important that players never throw them at a person or animal, and it should be noted that stray throws will result in damage to drywall. For the latter reason, you should mount this in a location that you feel comfortable using as a battlefield of sorts. In our case, that means the garage.

GoSports’ oversized darts come in four colors, with three each in red, blue, yellow, and green for individual or team play. The included steel scoreboard and magnetic dry-erase markers are a nice touch, and this set comes with rules to play a variety of games, including classic Cricket.

As home arcades and game rooms continue to rise in popularity, a dart board is an essential part of the mix and GoSports’s Giant Dart Boards are a fun way to let the entire family score a bullseye!
