Get ready to guard the galaxy again.

Hasbro’s new line of toys based on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is here for kids—and kids at heart—to gear up like Marvel’s craziest intergalactic heroes to save the universe.
Everyone’s favorite talking plant is back and ready to bust a move. Easily the hero of Hasbro’s latest toy line, the Dancing Groot Figure grooves to some classic ‘80s rock at the press of a leaf-shaped button on his knee. Kids will hear Groot declare his one and only catchphrase, “I am Groot,” as his eyes light up and he starts dancing to one of three built-in songs. But if hits from the ‘80s aren’t your style, Groot can also dance to any song kids play in music detection mode. I found it hard not to start swaying alongside him as he jammed to every song I threw at him. Crank up your favorite tunes and watch Groot go.

Also ready to bust a move is the Electronic Music Mix Star-Lord Figure. Standing at 12 inches tall, this interactive figure speaks 25 unique phrases inspired by the film. The figure can also play a song clip straight from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack, and comes with its own set of battle accessories.

Kids can also collect their favorite Guardians with the 6-Inch Figure Assortment. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are all ready for action, each of which comes with its own set of battle accessories. Each figure is sold separately.

If 6 inches isn’t enough, kids can also get their hands on the Titan Hero 12-Inch Figure Assortment. Part of the Titan Hero Series line of large action figures, each figure in the assortment features five points of articulation for posing action. Kids can collect Star-Lord, Rocket, Gamora, and Yondu figures to play out their own imaginative action-packed scenes. Like the 6-Inch Figure Assortment, each 12-inch figure is sold separately.

The Titan Hero Growing Groot figure is also here to rise to the challenge. Groot has gone from a giant to a tiny little sapling, but kids can help him size up once more by pulling the expandable package on the figure. This allows the Groot figure to extend its limbs and torso, allowing it to grow from 12 inches to an enormous 15 inches in height.

Hasbro’s galactic lineup also features role-playing masks that let kids fill the shoes of the Guardians themselves. With the Rocket Raccoon Action Mask, kids can imitate the foulmouthed, trigger-happy critter with amazing accuracy. When kids wear the mask and move their mouths, the jaw on the mask will mimic their movements and the eyebrows and ears will twitch as well. Parents and caregivers can help their kids fasten the three straps in the back of the mask to ensure they’re as comfortable as possible while playing as Rocket.

Along for the ride is the leader of the Guardians, Star-Lord with his own mask. With the movie-style Star-Lord Mask, kids can imagine taking on space baddies while peering through the translucent goggles. Star-Lord’s mask is easy to wear with a simple elastic strap.

Star-Lord knows to be armed and ready, so kids ages 5 and up can equip themselves with the Star-Lord Elemental Blaster. This toy features three different modes that kids can switch between by twisting the pretend blaster to the left. The Water, Fire, and Electricity modes each feature unique lights and sounds. Kids can pretend to splash, burn, and shock any evildoer that threatens the galaxy. The action-oriented functions in switching between different modes made me feel like a real action hero ready to blast away some villains. Perfect for younger kids, this blaster doesn’t actually fire any projectiles, making it all about imaginative fun. Without an off switch, the toy blaster will turn off on its own after about 30 seconds, and kids can reactivate it with a pull of the trigger.

For kids ages 5 and up who want some more firepower, they can lock and load with the Rocket Raccoon Nerf Blaster. This handy blaster comes fully loaded with four Nerf darts, a stock for arm placement, and a comfortable hand guard. This pump-action Nerf blaster lets kids shoot each dart up to 25 feet away. Parents and caregivers can help to assemble the blaster, as the hand guard and stock don’t come attached. Fortunately, it takes only a couple of minutes to put together.

With reliable teammates and a handy space arsenal full of Hasbro’s latest offerings, kids can feel like true Guardians of the Galaxy.
