Start your engines for the next great Hot Wheels car!

Mattel’s Hot Wheels is maybe the most well-known brand of model cars in existence. Beloved by kids everywhere as well as adult collectors, Hot Wheels has scale cars and race tracks that are full of action for all ages. Now, in collaboration with Mobil 1, the company is kicking off its sixth year of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, a huge car show that’ll end with the newest Hot Wheels model.

Custom car builders across the globe can enter for a chance to be the newest inductee to the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends, immortalizing their creation forever as a 1:64-scale Hot Wheels car. Previous winners have included everything from a deep green Volvo to an electric blue Nash Metropolitan. Vehicle submissions are open now at the official Hot Wheels Legends Tour website, which also contains additional information about the event overall. Kids can browse the custom builds and get excited about the cars they’ll see at the show nearest them.

The tour gets its start in Miami on May 13, and continues across the globe for a series of events, all culminating in a virtual Global Grand Finale on Nov. 11. For those in the U.S., other upcoming tour dates include May 20 in Charlotte, May 27 in Atlanta, June 10 in Detroit, June 24 in Chicago, July 8 in Houston, Sept. 9 in Dallas, and Sept. 23 in Phoenix, all hosted at Walmart stores. To top off the in-person events, the Mobil 1 Rally and Legends Fest will take place on Oct. 7 at the brand’s headquarters in El Segundo, California.

Mark your calendars and your nearest participating Walmart to let the kids in your life experience Hot Wheels bigger than they’ve ever seen them! The Hot Wheels Legends Tour starts soon, and is expected to have a huge number of custom car entries.
