Tactile toys continue to be a hot toy trend for all ages. However, tactile toys for toddlers have an added benefit to their budding brains! One of the newest toys in this category is the InnyBin, from Fat Brain Toys.

Experts have touted the InnyBin’s incredibly unique shape-exploration experience. Hence why it’s a Toy Foundation 2020 Toy of the Year Finalist in the infant/toddler category. With the cube’s elastic bands, it enables open-ended play, cause-and-effect responses, and fine-motor-skill development.

Toddlers love tactile exploration, so the InnyBin’s six chunky shape blocks are each designed with fascinating textures that are sure to thrill their little fingers. There’s a cube, a diamond, a sphere, a triangle, a flower, and the happy Fat Brain logo!

Tiny tots can push these shapes through the elastic bands of the InnyBin cube. As they do, their curiosity is sparked and their skills are expanded. The four horizontal band sides are easier to manipulate. The two sides with the criss-cross bands offer an added challenge. Additionally, caregivers can also encourage kids’ excitement by adding sequencing directions for expanded play possibilities — for example, asking kids to place the object in the order of color.

With soft hues of purple, pink, lime green, orange, and yellow, this colorful cube is BPA-free, too. Plus, the 5.5-inch size is manageable for little hands. The smaller size means its proportions are perfect to place in a diaper bag for on-the-go fun.
