You’re never too young for your first pet dinosaur.
That’s a thing, right? Well, now it is.
Hasbro’s new Jurassic World Tyrannosaurus Rex figure, part of its Playskool Heroes line, brings the stomp and chomp excitement of the fictional (but amazing) dinosaur theme park to the youngest dino lovers.
Designed for kids ages 3 to 7, this neon green T-rex is ready for a roarin’ good time. Though it’s a seriously mean (and hungry) dinosaur with striking light-up yellow eyes; thick, dark green spikes down its back; and an enormous jaw that kids can open and close, its chunky build and bright color pallet make it a bit more kid-friendly (especially by comparison of the Indominus Rex figure).
When kids press down on the T-rex’s back, its eyes light up, its jaw opens, and it lets out a mighty roar. Kids can place the included tracker figure in front of the T-rex and watch as the dinosaur chomps down and carries the poor human in its mouth (we are clearly the inferior species). Kids can also hear the hungry dino crunch, swallow, and let out a deep sigh once mealtime is over.
The set also comes with a capture cuff, which fits into the tracker figure’s hand and onto the dino’s leg. Little kids will go crazy for all the imaginative fun this T-rex has to offer, letting them experience all of the excitement of Jurassic World in a way that appeals to them. Though the highly anticipated blockbuster film may be rated PG-13, this toy lets preschoolers get in on the prehistoric fun.
