There’s nothing like a soothing bedtime story to get your kids to sleep at night.
Actress Kate Winslet is lending her voice to a new Thomas & Friends audio story for the Calm app, which features celebrities reading sleep stories to help users quiet their minds and relax their bodies.
The holiday-themed story, called Thomas and the North Star, follows Thomas the Tank Engine as he sets out to complete a very special delivery before he can wish kids a “Merry Christmas.” The story is a new addition to the existing library of Thomas & Friends content on the Calm app, which is currently offering a 1-week free trial.
“I am a strong believer in the power of mindfulness and try to dedicate a few minutes to it every day,” Winslet said in a statement. “When Calm and Thomas & Friends reached out and asked me to record this whimsical sleep story, I just simply couldn’t say no. No matter how or where you’re celebrating the holidays this year, I really hope this story brings a few smiles and dreams to you and your loved ones this season.”
