Backyard fun with a new-tech twist | Source: VTech

When you think about classic games, does it really get more classic than an old-fashioned game of tag?

Well, the old classic is still a great way to enjoy active play, but now it’s getting a modern upgrade thanks to the KidiGo NexTag system from VTech

The KidiGo NextTag system comes with four electronic units that kids ages 5 and up can wear using the included adjustable armbands. While “tag” is part of the name, NexTag isn’t some one-trick pony. This system puts a high-tech spin on 20 different backyard games that families can play indoors or outdoors.

Kids get started by using buttons on the side of their unit to select a game. A voice from the electronic unit explains the rules in a quick and easy-to-follow manner and then the action begins!

KidiGo NexTag is packed with one- and two-person games along with games that the entire family can play together, including Elimination Tag, You’re “It,” Zombie Tag, Secret Mission, Freeze Tag, Capture the Flag, Dino Defense, Medic, One Against All, Showdown, Categories Tag, Shuttle Run, Hide and Seek, Musical Tag, Color Tap, Tap ‘Em All, Simon Says, Free Jam, Sequence, and Beat the Clock.

Even better, if you combine two KidiGo NexTag systems, up to eight players can enjoy the fun together across a range of up to 120 feet between units. That’s a lot of room to play.

One of the coolest features of this system is that parents don’t have to play referee. In fact, there’s no referee required because lights and sounds from the electronic units let you know who’s safe, who’s it, and who just got tagged!

While there’s still plenty of time to enjoy some fun outside this year, it’s getting cooler outside in many parts of the country and that means that it can be a little bit trickier to get kids moving. KidiGo NexTag is a way to counteract that and quell any mention of “I’m bored,” whether it’s after school, on weekends, or during all of those holiday gatherings that are fast approaching.

You’re it!
