International Day of Play — the first official day honoring the benefits of play — is today, and Learning Resources wants parents to celebrate by becoming a Playfluencer.
The company encourages parents to join its mission to inspire a love of learning and to “playfluence” your kid’s holistic development as part of the Playfluence Movement, which is designed to educate, empower, and inspire families to play with a purpose. According to a recent OnePoll survey, parents need the most help teaching their kids developmentally appropriate skills. It also showcased that 90% of parents attempt to teach life skills during playtime.

Through the movement, Learning Resources is partnering with educators and parents to model the role of a Playfluencer and highlight how to teach kids important skills through purposeful, joyful play. On June 21, a celebrity dad will join the Playfluencer Movement as a Playfluencer Ambassador to discuss the benefits of play, plus provide tricks, tips, and advice to keep kids engaged and entertained this summer.
Learning Resources has a large range of toys that combine entertaining play patterns with important life skills, such as the Big Feelings Pineapple (which helps with social-emotional learning) and Spike The Fine Motor Hedgehog (which refines fine motor skills). As a Playfluencer, parents can nurture a kid’s learning and development through the power of play. You can find more tips, toys, and special partners under #playfluencer on social media.
