The Harry Potter film franchise is and always will be iconic. I’ll never forget that hothead of a tree in the second installment. You know, that violent yet magical plant that’s planted on the grounds at Hogwarts. The same violent yet magical plant that nearly killed Ron and Harry before their collegiate careers could even take off.

New from LEGO, the Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow construction set is action-packed with scenes straight from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Ideal for kids ages 8 and up, the Whomping Willow set is made up of 753 pieces. It offers a challenging yet attainable building experience that’s both fun for kids and adults alike. The set includes everything fans need to build a Whomping Willow tree, a Flying Ford Anglia car, and a Hogwarts castle section, so kids can bounce around from location to location as they practice their tweenage wizardy.

Once they’ve built the set, kids can enjoy a host of action-packed features. For example, the Flying Ford Anglia features two opening doors and an opening trunk with suitcases, while the three-level castle sports a gate, a parapet walk, three turrets, a dormitory with two beds, a potions classroom with a worktable, and an office home to none other than Severus Snape.

Finally, kids can use the Whomping Willow’s branches to capture the car, and then throw it to the ground and watch Ron and Harry escape through the castle gate. It’s everything kids need to recreate some of their favorite Harry Potter scenes.

Once the set is complete, kids can introduce up to six minifigures into the scene, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Seamus Finnigan, Argus Filch, and Severus Snape. There’s even a Hedwig figure for fans of Harry’s pet snowy owl. Accessory elements include potions, cauldrons, suitcases, wands, and more. These included figures and accessories are perfect for role play, and make for endless fun even after construction has wrapped.

And for even bigger mythical adventures, the Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow set can be combined with the Hogwarts Great Hall to expand the imagination.
