We are on a quest-a to rescue Princess-a Peach!
The LEGO Group announced that in partnership with Nintendo, mushroom majesty Princess Peach will be joining brothers Mario and Luigi in the LEGO Super Mario universe.
The LEGO Super Mario sets replicate the challenges kids love from the Super Mario video games. The Princess Peach LEGO figure will come equipped with the same features as her predecessors: a color sensor, an LCD screen that displays different reactions to movement, and a speaker that plays iconic sounds and music from the Super Mario video games. There are three interactive LEGO Peach figures that will be available in separate starter courses or entry points into the world of LEGO Super Mario.
With the Adventures with Peach Starter Course, fans can earn digital coins and discover various reactions by helping the princess ride the swing, defeat enemies like Lemmy and Lava Bubble, and befriend a yellow toad. Players can connect their LEGO Peach with Mario or Luigi via Bluetooth, which allows them to team up to defeat common enemies and earn coins through their teamwork.
And what is a princess without her castle? LEGO will also launch the LEGO Super Mario Peach’s Castle Expansion set, which boasts a range of fun challenges. Players can knock Ludwig off his cloud, fix the broken bridge, and go head-to-head with Browser, who sits in a buildable throne.
The Princess Peach collection is set to launch on Aug. 1 on lego.com and at select retailers around the world. The Adventures with Peach Starter Course is priced at $69.99 and the Peach’s Castle Expansion Set retails at $143.20.
In addition to these peachy products, there are even more new Super Mario LEGO sets coming in August. The full list of products includes:
