Mario is quite the globetrotter and now he’s heading to Sydney, Australia in the Mario Kart Tour game.
Players of Nintendo’s smart device game can join Mario and friends for the special Sydney Tour event, available now. The update will take players across the Sydney Sprint city course, where they’ll see the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and some fabulous Australian beaches. Kids can also play as Baby Mario (Koala), featuring a baby version of Mario with koala ears sticking out of his cap. They can also race in the snazzy Jet Cruiser kart and the Surf Master glider.
During the first week of the event, players can look for the Gold Cheep Charger kart, the Gold Cheep Snorkel kart, and other beachy-themed karts and gliders in the Ocean Pipe, available from April 25 at 2 a.m. EDT through April 30 at 1:59 a.m. EDT. Week two of the event will feature Mario (Swimwear), Rosalina (Swimwear), the Cheep Snorkel kart, the Blue Soda kart, the Blooper Wingtip glider, and the Luma Parafoil glider, all available between April 28 at 2 a.m. EDT to May 5 at 1:59 a.m. EDT.
The Snap-a-Photo bonus challenge is returning for the event. Players can snap a photo when they meet all three objectives and share the photo by tapping it on the results screen that shows how many Grand Stars they got.
The Sydney Tour event runs until May 5 at 1:59 a.m. EDT. Kids will need a Nintendo account, an online connection, and a compatible smartphone to play Mario Kart Tour.
