We know a glamorous mermaid squad that’s making a splashy entrance into the toy world.

MGA Entertainment officially debuted the Mermaze Mermaidz Color Change Fashion Dolls nationwide this week, combining color-changing effects, water play, and fun character backstories. Each doll is articulated at the neck, the shoulders, the elbows, the wrists, the torso, the waist, and the fin. They feature inset eyes and rooted eyelashes, as well as colorful mermaid hair, outfits, and accessories that differ for each doll. The color-changing effect takes place in the dolls’ sculpted fins when kids submerge them in water. The fins also double as a stand when they’re bent to 90 degrees.

Recommended for kids ages 4 and up, each doll has a one-of-a-kind personality and talent that make them empowering and relatable. Kishiko is a popular internet star, creator, and budding activist who is upbeat and loves sharing her life with the world. Shellnelle is a glamorous fashion designer who creates new trends and inspires her friends by looking at the world in a unique way. Riviera is a rocker and a rebel who swims against the current. She loves writing music, playing guitar, and performing with her sister, Harmonique, who is a sweet pop star that is effortlessly cool and shines in the spotlight, but always makes room for her friends to shine, too. Jordie is a competitive sports star whose energy and team spirit encourages every mermaid around her to be brave and to take action.

The five Mermaze Mermaidz dolls are available now at mass retailers for a $32.99 each. Fans can watch a live-action Mermaze Mermaidz Color Change music video featuring an original anthem that encourages kids to be empowered and confident. The Mermaze Mermaidz brand will also debut an animated series in May with episodes released bi-weekly on YouTube.
