Ahhh, the great outdoors. Even virtual pets like to get out and experience the ocean and nature, as proven by the newest additions to the Tamagotchi Pix family!

Bandai America is expanding the Tamagotchi Pix collection with two new styles: ocean and nature. The new designs join the existing floral and sky styles. The ocean design features a blue shell with multi-colored bubbles on the front, and the nature design features a green shell with leaves on the front.

Tamagotchi Pix is the first Tamagotchi to include a camera that kids can use to take photos with their virtual pet and touch buttons that give users new ways to customize items, bathe their character, and pet their character with a swipe of a finger. Kids can earn Gotchi points and keep their Tamagotchis happy by playing 17 games. Kids can also connect their device to a friend’s Tamagotchi Pix to go on playdates, exchange gifts, and explore together.

With the Tamagotchi Pix, kids can collect numerous characters and raise them in different ways, helping them find a profession that they can bring back to their Tamagotchi planet. To extend the play beyond the egg, kids can also complete missions on to download items and gifts to their devices. Gameplay is available in six different languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.

The new Tamagotchi Pix designs are available now and Bandai America is kicking off the launch with a contest on the Tamagotchi Instagram. Enter by Jan. 11 for a chance to win one!
