No job is too big, and no pup is too small, as any member of the Paw Patrol knows. Kids can join the fearless puppy squad from the popular Nick Jr. show, and tackle challenges big and small with the Paw Patrol 20 Piece Set, from Magformers.

This construction set, designed for kids ages 3 and up, contains 14 magnetic triangles and squares that stick together to build different paw-some structures. There are six character cards with Paw Patrol pups on them that kids can use to customize their creations. The inserts are easy to attach – just push them into the center of the square pieces, listen to them click into place, and voila, the solid-colored pieces become Paw Patrol themed!

The kit comes with two play mats, which are like laminated blueprints that kids can use to make specific builds, like a fish or an hourglass. The guidelines are simple enough for young kids to follow by matching up the Magformers pieces to the pictures on the play mat piece by piece, with no more than five steps to follow.

Kids who can’t get enough of the fearless rescue pups can use the character inserts to build Paw Patrol themed items, like a pup house with Chase and Marshall, a bridge with Rubble, or even a simple cube with a pupper on each side. Budding architects and building pros can go off the grid and come up with their own ideas, with or without the Paw Patrol characters attached. The building encourages creativity and imagination, with no complicated technology attached to it like so many toys require.

As one of Magformers’ smaller sets with only 20 pieces total, it’s compact, making it a great travel set. The magnetic pieces can stack flat on top of each other, making for easy cleanup. Sometimes it can be difficult to pull kids away from their favorite TV shows but this will give them a break from the screens and tablets while still giving them their Paw Patrol fix.
