GraviTrax is getting an electrifying upgrade.

For those unfamiliar, GraviTrax sets offer kids the opportunity to design and construct their very own paths for marbles to roll along. These marble runs allow kids to experiment with magnetism, gravity, and kinetics as they learn to propel their marbles to the finish line.

Ravensburger is introducing a new line of these STEM sets, called GraviTrax Power, that allow builders to add a power-boosting signal control and create longer-lasting marble runs through electronic elements.

This fall, Ravensburger plans to release two of these new Power starter sets. The GraviTrax Power Starter Set Launch comes with 123 pieces and includes both the new Power Starter and PowerFinish elements. The Starter element allows builders to store multiple balls at the beginning of the track, and then release them with a remote controller. The Finish Element detects when a ball has completed the track and sends another automatically. For the biggest GraviTrax builders, the GraviTrax Power Starter Set XXL comes with 138 pieces and incorporates all seven of the new electronic POWER elements, including Power Starter and Power Finish.

The GraviTrax Power Starter Set ($99.99) and GraviTrax PowerStarter Set XXL ($329.99) are both recommended for kids ages 8 and up. The original Starter Set will be available for purchase exclusively from Target this September, while the Starter Set XXL and GraviTrax Power accessories will be available for purchase from Amazon and specialty retailers this October.
