Applications for the second annual Spin Master Future of Play Scholarship program are officially open! The program lends a helping hand to the education and career advancement of students from underrepresented communities in toy, entertainment, and digital game fields.
Last year, Spin Master granted seven scholarships to BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+, and other students looking for post-secondary education in toy design, animation, creative production, digital gaming, and app development. The students were given financial support and the opportunity to secure internships at Spin Master this summer with the potential for full-time employment after they complete their studies. All scholarships are renewable this year and Spin Master is also looking to continue the program for another batch of students in time for enrollment this fall.
Applications for the 2022-2023 academic year are open now, with Spin Master offering eight scholarships: three entertainment scholarships, one gaming scholarship, and four toy scholarships in the U.S. and Canada. There is a specific set of criteria for each award and the deadline for applications is July 1. Click here for more information.
