Last month, PlayMonster called for artists ages 4 and up to submit original Spirograph designs to its Spirograph National Art Contest. Using the simple magic of pens, gears, and paper, artists around the world tapped into their imaginations to produce colorful and unique pieces.
Today, the contest comes to an exciting close as six talented artists have been selected winners. The winners are Abby from Massachusetts (age 5-7), Myles from Pennsylvania (age 5-7), Audrey from New York (age 8-12), Bella from Texas (age 8-12), Gale from California (age 13+), and Jules from New York (age 13+). Spirographgirl from the UK received an honorable mention.
Each winner will receive an exclusive Spirograph Retrospective Prize Pack, a $400 Michaels gift card, and will have their creation on display at the Strong National Museum of Play located in Rochester, New York.
The winning designs will be part of a running Spirograph exhibit and activation at the museum, which runs throughout April Break Week (April 15-24). The exhibit will also give visitors a chance to create their own Spirograph creations and explore the history of Spirograph with a retrospective display.
