The Toy Insider Reviews Star Wars Journeys AppStar Wars fans can officially relive scenes from Star Wars The Prequel Trilogy in new form with the Star Wars Journeys: Beginnings app, from Disney Publishing. Users will be able to read, race, and battle through exciting re-tellings of Star Wars’ first three chapters, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith.

This jam-packed app brings kids the stories, heroes, and villains they love while fully immersing them in scenes and original art directly from the franchise. Kids can battle arena style as Anakin Skywalker against droids, kouhuns, and bounty hunters or work there way through challenges in more than 150 levels.

The Toy Insider Reviews Star Wars Journeys App Screen ShotOn the home screen, kids can choose which segment they want to play in and whether they choose The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, or Revenge of the Sith, they’ll be able to participate in unique activities and stories. In The Phantom Menace kids can race 11 customizable podracers as Luke Skywalker, Mars Guo, Mawhonic, and more, and zoom across the galaxy at lightning speeds. In Revenge of the Sith, users can complete a series of challenges as they actually confront the evil Sith.

In each sequence, kids can collect and unlock up to 20 character profiles and learn about the inner workings of the galaxy at war. The easiest way to unlock features is through story mode, which is easily my favorite mode to play in. There’s a 180-degree parallax viewing experience that allows users to swipe and tap there ways through scenes and text. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, making kids feel like they’re right in the movie, just casually hanging out with Yoda and Darth Vader.

The Star Wars Journeys: Beginnings app is available for kids ages 4 and up at the App Store.
