Get ready for some ultimate nostalgia: ThunderCats is coming back!
Cartoon Network will premiere the first episode of its Thundercats remake, called ThunderCats Roar!, this month. The show promises to stay true to the original premise of the series while making it something today’s kids will want to watch.
The new, redesigned characters will open up the world of humanoid cats to a whole new generation of kids who never had to worry about recording their favorite shows on VHS.
In the show, Lion-O leads the group of ThunderCats after their home planet of Thundera is destroyed. Old enemies and new await them as they learn to adapt to the mysterious and dangerous world of Third Earth. Check out the trailer below to learn more about the ThunderCats!

In true 21st-century fashion, the first episode of the show is available now on Cartoon Network’s website. The ThunderCats will strike TV screens on Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. EST/PST on Cartoon Network.
