When taking care of an infant, you’re destined to encounter some rocky roads. Never fear, parents, because VTech’s Drop & Go Dump Truck is built for the toughest of learning terrains.

This red and yellow toy vehicle features a hinged truck bed, a push- and pull-along rope, and three buttons that activate various sounds. Designed for babies ages 6 months and up, the truck also includes three colorful, plastic rocks that little ones can load and unload using the chute located at the top of the cab on the front of the truck. The only external component needed for this toy is AAA batteries, which are not included.

There are more than 30 different songs, melodies, and phrases packed inside this truck for little ones to explore, which cover themes including colors and numbers. Interactive phrases will prompt young truckers to “put the rocks into the hole” and as kids load cargo into the basket, the truck audibly counts the rocks up to three. When the vehicle is fully packed, kids can bop around to the truck’s theme song that sings, “I’m a powerful dump truck, I rumble down the road,” and get excited by the occasional revving engine or honking horn sound effects.

This toy provides loads of imaginative fun for young truckers, but it’s also a great way for them to develop and improve their fine motor skills. Little hands will grow more coordinated as they manually fill the basket, press the buttons, and push and pull on the truck’s rope. All of the truck’s functions operate smoothly, so kids can focus on learning without getting frustrated or stuck.

The imaginative play and educational features of this toy make it wheely awesome, but parents can also get excited because it includes volume control and automatic shutoff! With the Drop & Go, it’ll just be your little one and the open road to learning!
