Waffles and Mochi are best puppet friends who dream of becoming amazing chefs. Too bad they only know how to cook with ice.

Luckily, the buddies found work at a whimsical supermarket to jumpstart their culinary adventure — and this supermarket happens to be owned by Michelle Obama! Waffles + Mochi is a new preschool series from Netflix and the puppets from the show are hosting a talk show-inspired event on YouTube, called “What’s Cooking Tonight with Michelle Obama.”

Premiering on March 27, the special is hosted by Jennifer Garner and will feature Timbaland and the Beatclub as the house band and celebrity appearances from Anya Taylor-Joy and Jack Black. The three segments will include “Can You Outplay a Crudite,” “Top 5 on Netflix,” and “The Queen’s Yambit,” each ending with Michelle Obama and chef Samin Nosrat cooking up a meal.

The Waffles + Mochi Netflix series consists of 10 episodes in which the puppets make new friends, like a talking mop and a magical, flying shopping cart that guides them on their culinary journey in finding special ingredients and traveling to kitchens, restaurants, and farms all over the world. Their adventures take them to Peru to pick potatoes, Italy for spices, and Japan to cook up some Miso. Both the Netflix series and the “What’s Cooking Tonight” special will encourage families to experiment with cooking together while learning about new cultures and traditions from around the globe.
