Care Bear Sing-a-long Friends, from Just Play, are magical, animatronic plush that encourage kids to sing, share, and give awesome, snuggly hugs. Each bear sings three songs, including “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” “The Wheels on the Bus” and a Care Bears theme song, which teaches kids about the importance of friendship. Each bear also says tons of unique phrases, and features movement in their bodies, arms, and ears.
Available in four styles, there’s a Care Bear for everyone, and kids will undoubtedly quickly choose a favorite that most reflects their personality. Funshine Bear is bright yellow with a radiant sun belly badge. His phrases perfectly reflect his sunny disposition, like “Singing with you is super cool!” Grumpy Bear is—you guessed it—super grumpy, and even though he sports a less than thrilled scowl, he is a sucker for cute kids and says “You make me a little less grumpy.” Cheer Bear is ready to bring positivity to any situation and cheer kids up in a flash with her bright pink fur and rainbow belly badge. Kids will quickly have a new BFF in Cheer Bear, who says “We are friends forever!” Share Bear is the most giving of the Care Bears, with a belly badge that features two lollipops (one for her and one for you, I assume). She reinforces the importance of giving and affection with phrases like “Share your care and give me a hug!”
All of the bears feature sparkly accents on their heart-shaped noses, paws, and belly badges for even more magical fun. If kids only have one Care Bear, they can sing a duet by pressing its left hand, but if they have two or more, they are in for an unbelievable experience: These Care Bears recognize each other and can sing together as a group. Kids can press each bear’s left hand, letting each one introduce him or herself. Then, select a lead singer and watch as the bears all sing together. The bears can even recognize which bear they are singing with and will call him or her out by name.
Even though these plushies have some cool battery-operated features, they are still soft and cuddly. At 11 inches tall, they are the perfect size for kids to hug, and of course they have an “off” button on the battery pack for when it’s time to snuggle into bed.
