One of our favorite Disney Princesses made a big *splash* in theaters earlier this year and we just can’t get enough. Disney The Little Mermaid Under the Sea Exploring Ariel from JAKKS Pacific is an interactive doll that doubles as a water toy.
Designed for ages 3 and up, this doll is inspired by the 2023 film The Little Mermaid, and features Ariel’s new look, style, and hair as seen in the movie.
While little mermaids and mermen can play with the doll in the pool or at the beach in the summertime, the doll also acts as the perfect bath time entertainment all year round.
The doll speaks, sings, and its tail even lights up — in and out of the water. She’s got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, including a “dinglehopper,” a seashell, and four charms that kids can clip onto the doll’s hair. When kids put the accessories in its hand, the doll will sing “Part of Your World” and say cute phrases like “I love searching for treasures under the sea. Would you like to join me?” and “Do you like my collection? Isn’t it fantastic?”
The doll is about 15 inches tall, plus shimmering fins at the end of its tail, so it’s nice and large for small hands to handle. It also floats in water so parents don’t have to worry about kids trying to dive underwater. And for the best part, after kids are done playing with it, parents can lay the doll out to dry (Its hair even dries perfectly curly!) to reuse over and over again.
