There’s always something new to learn from our friends down on Sesame Street — and there’s a new collectible book to prove it!
Sesame Workshop and Sourcebooks Kids’ new story, 100 Words From the Street: Words to Grow Smarter, Stronger, & Kinder, is now available for your family’s next reading session! The 112-page book is a story for people aged 3 to 103 and is full of words, definitions, examples, and illustrations. Each word will become an important part of your kid’s vocabulary, and this book can serve as a fun, in-depth introduction to each one!
Examples of words in the bunch include “imagine,” “try,” and “identity,” accompanied by fun and colorful illustrations of the most famous residents of Sesame Street. The illustrations show characters like Elmo and Rosita setting an example of the lesson taught through the words. On one page, we see Bert and Ernie exploring a pond, accommodating the word “adventure.”
The book also includes the word “welcoming,” and the page reads, “To be welcoming means to invite new people in, to be friendly, and to include others.” Families can discover new words each night or practice what certain words mean during each storytime.
The book, written by Erin Guendelsberger and illustrated by Barry Goldberg, is available at the link below. It’s also available at most major bookstores, so you and your little one can go on an adventure to find it in stores!
