Angry Birds is headed back to the big screen.
Rovio Entertainment Co., SEGA, and Namit Malhotra’s production company, Prime Focus Studios, are making a third installment to the movie franchise inspired by the hit mobile game.

Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad will reprise their roles as Red and Chuck in this new movie, with more casting news coming soon. The Angry Birds Movie 3 will by directed by John Rice, who also directed the first Angry Birds, and Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe while the screenplay will be written by Thurop Van Orman, who also worked on Angry Birds 2, Adventure Time, and Flapjack.
The first two Angry Birds movies made more than $500 million combined at the box office. Now that there’s a new movie on the way, it may be time for a rewatch!
