It may be only March, but summer is already calling our names — and the Angry Birds clearly feel the same.

A new animated series, Angry Birds: Summer Madness, based on the popular franchise is set for a global premiere next year. The show was ordered by Netflix from Cake and Rovio Entertainment, and it will combine the familiar avian world and its humor with a fresh look in new, 11-minute episodes.

According to the official logline:

Angry Birds: Summer Madness sees much-loved birds Red, Bomb, and Chuck, as well as a cast of brand-new feathered friends, as tween birds at summer camp under the questionable guidance of their counselor Mighty Eagle.”

There will be “explosive antics, improbable pranks, and crazy summertime adventures” as the birds push boundaries and break the rules while they fend off obnoxious Pigs on the other side of the lake.

This series marks the franchise’s first leap into long-form TV series.
