Labor Day is here, which means the holiday season is just around the corner. Before you know it we’ll be decking our halls, eating our body weight in candy canes, and listening to some very jolly music from the Laurie Berkner.
Another Laurie Berkner Christmas will drop on Oct. 28 to bring kids into the holiday season in style. The album features 13 traditional songs of the season, three original bops, and two bonus tracks. And because the holiday season is always better with friends, Laurie invited special guests Suzzy Roche, Lucy Wainwright Roche, and Broadway legend Norm Lewis to sing along.
Kids can sing and dance along to “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Up On The Housetop,” “Deck the Halls,” and many traditional carols. Berkner’s originals include “I Live Inside A Snowglobe (Shake It Up),” “Little Tree,” and “Icicles” (we’re already getting chills!). Suzzy and her daughter Lucy lend their voices to the English carol, “Here We Come A-Wassailing,” while Lewis joins in on the heartwarming “Good King Wenceslas.”
Berkner is also joined by David Mann on saxophone and horn arrangements, and Trevor Neumann on trumpet, as well as her regular Laurie Berkner Band pals Susie Lampert on keyboards, Brady Rymer on bass, and Bobby Golden on drums.
Are you in the spirit yet? Another Laurie Berkner Christmas will be available on all major online outlets, at Laurie Berkner’s concerts, and at laurieberkner.com.
