Chuggington is finally coming back on board with a new special airing on Aug. 9.
The preschool fave Chuggington: Tails from the Rails will get a brand-new special at 8 a.m. EDT on Disney Junior and DisneyNOW. “Celebrate Chuggington” is all about the most traintastic holiday: Chuggington Day!
Kids can dance and sing along to the musical special, which features two original songs from acclaimed composer Mike Himelstein. In the special, trainees Wilson, Koko, and Brewster ride the trails on a surprise scavenger hunt and learn about the power of working together. Meanwhile, Zephie and Piper are on a mission to save the town statue. The episode also features guest-voice actor Angelica Hale (America’s Got Talent) as Tai, a determined engine who’s tough as nails.
To keep the party chugging along, this special is part of a month-long “Let’s Train Together” initiative. There is a calendar highlighting daily themed activities available now on Chuggington.com and the show’s social media pages, so kids can count down to Chuggington Day. Kids can also discover downloadable, printable activities and a new catchy live-action music video for the song “Let’s Train Together,” which will premiere on YouTube on Aug. 20.
This special is the first Chuggington episode to premiere on television in quite some time. We hope it’s on track for more!
