It’s that time of year again! With National Dinosaur Day falling on June 1, it’s time to give your kids something more exciting than looking at a bunch of fossils in a museum.
From June 3-4, Sesame Place Philadelphia and Just Play are hosting a special dino-size event for all young paleontologists. The Dino Stomp Celebration brings Sesame Street lovers the chance to travel back to the days of the dinosaurs in a weekend of themed dinner experiences, exciting scavenger hunts, prizes, and more!
Each day before the celebration opens to the public, two golden dinosaur eggs will be hidden somewhere in the park. If your kid is lucky enough to find one of the eggs and bring it to the Welcome Center, they’ll win their very own plush Dino Stomp Elmo toy from Just Play!
In between the hectic scavenger hunt, families can get photo-ops with their favorite Sesame Street characters during Dino Dine, a themed buffet-style eating experience with tasty prehistoric treats. The colorful muppets will be around offering a meet-and-greet for fans while wearing their adorable dinosaur costumes!
Guests will get the chance to explore new attractions at the park like Bert & Ernie’s Splashy Shores and Big Bird’s Beach. Families can also get more photos with the furry gang at the Photo with Elmo and Friends activation, as well as photo-ops in a recreation of the famous Sesame Street neighborhood.
Parents can bring their kids to the Dino Stomp Celebration by buying tickets on sesameplace.com/philadelphia. Tickets for guests ages 10 and up cost $49.99, kids from ages 2-9 are $29.99, and kids under 23 months are free!
