If you’re missing vacations and traveling after a year of quarantining, Disney and Pixar’s Luca will take you straight to the Italian Riviera.
A new teaser trailer and official movie poster for the coming-of-age film have arrived and we get to take a peek at what lurks beneath the waters.
The film follows the summer escapades of Luca, a 13-year-old boy voiced by Jacob Tremblay as he makes a new best friend, Alberto (Jack Dylan Grazer). Both boys also happen to be sea monsters.
The two are very curious about the mysterious human world that lives above the sea. Unfortunately for them, the town is not fond of the underwater monsters, so the boys must remain incognito throughout their adventure. They make a new human friend in Giulia (Emma Berman), who guides them around the village as they learn that underdogs have to look out for each other.
Luca is directed by Academy Award nominee, Enrico Casarose (La Luna), and produced by Andrea Warren (Cars 3). The film is set to release on June 18.
