Disney Branded Television is set to premiere its new animated show Kiff in March. Starring Orange is The New Black’s Kimiko Glenn and Michael Croner from Craig of the Creek, the animal-filled comedy adventure will premiere on Disney Channel on March 5 at 8 p.m. EST/PST. The new series will also make its Disney+ debut on March 10.
The show follows the misadventures of Kiff, a happy-go-lucky squirrel voiced by Glenn, as she tackles school, relationships, and the crazy critters inhabiting Table Town. But she’s not doing it alone. She’s got her best-friend Barry, a mellow bunny voiced by Croner, tagging along the whole way through.
Created by Disney’s first South African creators and executive producers Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal, each 30-minute episode will include a pair of 11-minute stories featuring characters inspired by different people that Heavens and Smal have met growing up in South Africa. The executive producing duo will also voice recurring characters in the show.
Disney released the original theme song for the show this week, and viewers who fall in love with Kiff after its premiere can download the show’s original soundtrack from Walt Disney Records on Mar. 10. A stand-alone online/mobile game will also be available on the Disney+ app or disneynow.com
