Frozen 2 hit Disney+ over the weekend, bringing some comfort to families heading into the unknown.
The animation was released three months ahead of schedule, with Disney saying it wanted to surprise “families with some fun and joy during this challenging period.” Families are facing many uncertainties due to COVID-19. The novel coronavirus is causing schools to shut down, parents to work from home, and overall change in everyone’s everyday life.
Luckily, some things never change, as Anna sings to Olaf in the film. “Some things stay the same, though the future remains unknown,” she assures him. The love of your family is always there; who better to celebrate that with than the ultimate sisters?
Anna and Elsa travel into the unknown to unlock mysteries about their kingdom of Arendelle and Elsa’s powers in the sequel to Frozen, which you’ve probably seen a thousand times. They join new characters, sing new songs, and remind us that although life can be scary sometimes, anything can be overcome with the power of love and family.
Frozen 2 is on Disney+ now. Families can also head to the galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which was released digitally a few days early.
