We can never get enough SpongeBob, which is why we’re so excited to see what he was like as a kid in the first original spinoff of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Nickelodeon finally released the first image of a 10-year-old SpongeBob from the upcoming CG-animated series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years. Launching next year, the original series follows a young SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy as they spend their summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at Kamp Koral. Fans can watch the moment when SpongeBob first meets Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Plankton, and Mr. Krabs in 13 episodes.
Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) will reprise their original roles. Carlos Alazraqui (The Casagrandes) and Kate Higgins (Blaze and the Monster Machines) will join as new characters Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the kelp woods outside the camp.
Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the series will debut next year on the newly rebranded Paramount+ streaming service. The series will also air on Nickelodeon later in the year.
