There’s a new web series in the cards for little anime fans. Konami Digital Entertainment, the creator of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game, is unleashing a new short-form anime for players to enjoy.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: The Chronicles follows the characters on the cards instead of the duellists who play them. Airing monthly on YouTube, the animated series dives into the lore behind the iconic archetypes, spotlighting the characters’ immortal impact on the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!. The first episode centers Sky Striker Ace Raye, a soldier and monster card in the original game.
Next month, kids can delve deeper into the legend of Sky Striker Ace as rivals Raye and Roze gear up for their inevitable, tech-fuelled battle. The story will continue in June with “The Fallen & the Virtuous,” a new tale inspired by fan-favorite characters Fallen of Albaz and Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous. Each animated episode will immerse kids in the action of the timeless series, without having to duel over the remote!
The first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: The Chronicles is out now. Kids can tune in to a new episode monthly on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG YouTube channel.
