Hobby World USA LLC’s latest game, Hollywood: Make Your Own Blockbuster is all about movie making. This card game allows players to make their own movie-making dream team.
Players receive most of their cards by drafting them, but the best “star cards” are obtained in an auction. Each person must have one script, one director, and one actor or actress. Players can also throw in other cards, depending on the amount of special cards they get. However, to make a movie, players must get as many cards with the same genre that they can get. The instruction manual is downloadable from the Kickstarter website in English, French, Spanish, and German.
The board game is already set to be funded on June 19, and has received funding more than double its initial goal. As the game continues to receive more funding, the creators plan to unlock more cards for the players. Rewards for backers vary, depending on the donation amount. Backers are eligible to receive a copy of the game at a discounted price, and those who donate higher amounts will be drawn on a card and be featured in the game.
