If you were ever into He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (MOTU) as a kid, you might be ready to introduce the franchise to a whole new generation.
At this year’s virtual edition of Power Con, Mattel revealed a new range of toys and collectibles that bridge the gap between kids and collectors. For the first time ever, MOTU is getting preschool-centric Fisher-Price toys. But that’s not all! The expanded range includes new Mega Construx building sets, a MOTU-themed UNO deck, and the first-ever MOTU tabletop roleplaying game.
Fisher-Price Little People Collector Masters of the Universe Set
Available now, the world of Fisher-Price Little People gets an Eternian update with He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Skeletor, and Beast Man in the classic scale and form enjoyed by generations of toddlers.
Fisher-Price Imaginext Masters of the Universe XL Action Figures
A new generation of fans can experience the franchise with a collection of super-sized 10-inch action figures. He-Man, Skeletor, and Beast Man feature articulation at the shoulders, legs, neck, and wrists. The XL action figures will be available next summer.
Mega Construx Masters of the Universe Signature Series
Available beginning Nov. 1, the Mega Construx MOTU line expands with a reissue of last year’s Pro Builders Series Castle Grayskull at the center of the new Masters of the Universe Signature Series. The 3,508-piece building set includes three floors and six distinct play areas including the Throne Room, Command Center, Dungeon, Power Sword-activated Jawbridge, and more. Castle Grayskull includes six collectible micro action figures.
The Mega Construx MOTU Skeletor Skull Assortment features three collectible Skeletor heads, each containing micro action figures, and building materials.
Additional Signature Series sets include Skeletor and Panthor and a Battle Ram vehicle with Tri-Klops and Mekaneck micro action figures.
Masters of the Universe UNO
Available now, MOTU UNO infuses the world’s No. 1 card game with vintage archival artwork from the franchise oil paintings created by Williams George and Ruby Obero in the ’80s.
Legends of Grayskull
The first-ever tabletop roleplaying game to feature MOTU will unlock the secrets of Castle Grayskull.
Mattel revealed a multiyear licensing deal with Fandom — the team behind D&D Beyond — to develop Legends of Grayskull. The core roleplaying game includes a 250-page hardcover guidebook with pull-out maps, a digital companion app and toolset, a community content creation and sharing platform, and “an organized play program that gives fans the opportunity to participate in a connected, living story with other Masters of the Universe players around the world — in person, online, or on a player’s digital device.”
Legends of Grayskull will be available next year.
